Most of all waterproof coatings sold in the world contain styrene, despite being declared by the manufacturer as acrylic. For this reason, they are not 100% waterproof. Because they contain styrene ( not 100% arcylic ), these "waterproof" coatings do not resist UV rays, and therefore they do not last more than 2 or 3 years. After this time, their molecular structure is broken, and the product will crack, causing water leakage problems. Moreover, when in constant contact with water, they " sweat " and water passes through the coating in form of moisture. |
